About Our Instructor
Margaret’s journey as a nutritional coach and educator began with a desire to improve her own well-being over 20 years ago. While earning her Bachelors of Business Administration from the University of Mississippi she faced multiple health challenges. After coming to the realization that conventional medicine had nothing else to offer, she began an experiential journey in alternative healthcare options, including Ayurvedic Medicine (India’s Science of Life), classical Yoga, Chinese herbs and nutrition, Massage Therapy, Homeopathic remedies, and the use of food as medicine. Motherhood further inspired her to take nutrition to the next level and teach children in the schools.
Professionally, Margaret has been applying her experiential nutritional expertise as the Director of Nutrition at The SaJune Institute for Restorative and Regenerative Medicine, in Orlando, Florida. Her journey started in 2005 with weight programs and evolved to include Plant Based, Superfoods and Metabolic Balance Programs under the apprenticeship of Dr. Sangeeta Pati. She has guided patients through therapeutic nutritional programs to reverse skin conditions, Crohn’s, ulcerative colitis, arthritis, auto-immune diseases and many other chronic conditions. Margaret spends a great deal of time training physicians and medical staff from all over the world in SaJune’s Preceptor Program. She has assisted in developing the comprehensive Nutritional Preceptorship Program at SaJune, which provides training for physicians to effectively educate their patients about the importance of nutrition. Margaret is passionate about educating the public about how positive food choices can inform and transform lives. Her life’s mission is a desire to improve the health of our future generations through nutritional education.
